MLIS 7505: First post

My time in MLIS 7505: Applied Technologies in Library Practice has been interesting thus far. I decided to enroll in the class after learning a lot in Information Architecture last semester. MLIS 7505 explores emerging technologies in libraries and their practice in the real world. Learning the specifics about how libraries use these common technologies in the real world creates spaces for interesting discussions. It's also beneficial from a professional standpoint to learn about these trends as we prepare for our careers.

I am curious about whether we will cover virtual reference services on a more in depth level. This is a particular subject of interest for me and many libraries provide such a service. The library where I work recently went live with LibAnswers last August and I'd be interested in the experience of other libraries.
